Sustainability

We’re in this Together

We take environmental impact seriously. Our goal isn’t just to make sustainable choices, but to be one of the most eco-friendly businesses in the region.

Track our Progress
We’re using the Brewer’s Association’s Sustainability Benchmarking Tool to keep ourselves accountable. We will track various inputs and outputs and post our progress here after our first year of operation.

BRBC merchandise is either sourced from recycled materials, or designed with durability and reusability in mind

Plastic Reduction

With the help of our distribution partner Bud Busch Distributing, we’ve replaced plastic wrap with reusable rubber bands on outgoing pallets in Mobile and Baldwin Counties.

Future Initiatives

As we grow, we wish to pursue projects such as:

Taproom Blinds
This may not seem like a big deal, but heat-blocking blinds on our taproom windows will save massive amounts of energy (less HVAC usage).

Solar Panels
We love the sun! Solar energy is the way of the future, and we hear solar-generated electricity makes beer taste better anyway.

Wastewater Treatment
As most beer lovers know, the brewing process requires quite a bit of water. With the capability to recycle our wastewater onsite, we make the most of this precious resource.

LEED Certification

Becoming LEED Certified means we will be one of the most sustainable and environmentally responsible businesses of our class. Reaching this finish line will require significant investment and years of work

Recyclable To-Go Cups
This can be a game changer for downtown Mobile. let’s face it: our beer is made to be taken outside, but plastic is not. Although these cups aren’t easy on the bottom line, we want to invigorate a recycling movement in the entertainment district.
